Our client reviews

star ratingA lovely stay in the heart of the Medina. - "THE RED" WITH ITS MANY SCENTS AND COLORS HAS ALWAYS BEEN DEAR TO ME.
I had decided long ago to return to Marrakech, the Red City, which I have been... read more visiting since the 1990s. I had purchased the plane ticket and booked a Riad in the Medina, from May 18 to 26. Then the well-known international events occurred, and for this reason, I waited until a few days before the scheduled dates to book a new Riad, Les Trois Mages, which would allow me to cancel the reservation without penalties even the day before my planned departure. This convenience was useful because it spared me the risk of losing almost a thousand euros.
Les Trois Mages is located near Riad Laârous, a square dominated by the Mohammed V higher institute. It is about 5-600 meters from the famous Jama El-Fna Square, which can be reached by walking down the entire Laârous street: on the left is the labyrinth of souks, the markets divided by the type of goods for sale. Along the way, there is, among other things, the Mouhassine hammam, which dates back to 1562, but is recent and popular on the inside: pleasant hammam and massage in an "authentic" context but without many pretensions. Another address to note is Le Jardin secret, interesting especially for the two gardens that date back to the 1600s and are a beautiful example of the quadripartite structure of the garden that we also find in the Riad, the traditional house of wealthy families: two or three floors overlooking an internal courtyard and a garden divided into four parts with a fountain in the center.
This is the structure of the Riad Les Trois Mages, which is actually a Dar, because it has an internal courtyard, but without a garden. It develops on the ground floor with a guest room, two covered lounges, and a courtyard where meals or tea can be enjoyed. On the first floor, there are three rooms and a suite, all furnished in traditional style. Les Trois Mages also has a restaurant service, upon request. Close to the structure, there is a travel agency, where I booked a trek in the Atlas, and not far away is Pikala Bikes, where it is possible to rent a bicycle for 100 dirhams, about ten euros.
I stayed for eight days at Les Trois Mages, enjoying breakfast and dinner. The Dada (this is what the housewife who cooks and preserves ancient traditions and recipes is called in popular culture) of the Riad is particularly skilled, and during my stay, I tasted a rich repertoire of local cuisine: many types of tagine, from vegetarian to fish, not forgetting chicken, rabbit, pigeon, and lamb, as well as couscous and some soups like the famous harira: a symphony of legumes, fresh herbs, spices, and pieces of meat, traditionally consumed during Iftar, the meal that breaks the fast at sunset during Ramadan. Salads and vegetables also hold an important place in Marrakech cuisine, and of course, desserts where honey, almonds, hazelnuts, and walnuts are often present.
Les Trois Mages also has a terrace that spans two levels, with a small pool, spaces that are very popular among the female guests of the structure. On the first floor, there is also a small lounge with a sofa and two armchairs that overlooks the inner courtyard, where it is possible to stop and read or have a drink, as I often did.
Le Trois Mages is managed by Aziz, with the cooperation of Rida and Usman. A young staff, present, always available, and attentive. I found the Riad to be quiet and clean; I always slept well, despite an out-of-season heat that reached 40 degrees during the day. I must also mention a significant detail: I requested a larger room than the one assigned to me, and I was given it without any additional charge. In the last three days, I was provided with the Bahia suite without having to pay any difference. Thus, I was offered the taxi to and from the airport, which is about 30 minutes away, the mineral waters, the coffees, and the teas consumed during my stay in Marrakech.
For its location, the pleasantness of the structure, the tranquility, the cleanliness, and, last but not least, the excellent cuisine, it is definitely a riad to consider.

star ratingWonder Filled Marrakesh! - Marrakesh
We stayed at Riyad Les Trois Mage.
When we arrived at the airport, we were picked up and driven to the riad by a very friendly and knowledgeable... read more gentlemen.
Couldn't have chosen a better place.
Aziz and his team couldn't have made us feel more welcomed. We felt as though we were in their home.
Upon arrival we were given mint tea and cookies.
I love the way mint tea is served.
The Breakfasts were excellent and very satisfying, and served with great attention to detail. Every morning they would ask us what kind of eggs we wished to have. They offered mint tea as well as coffee. It was a wonderful variety of offerings.
The riad was very clean and comfortable.
There were areas outside our room for relaxing both on the ground floor and second floor.
The outside pool was a refreshing ..and a beautiful area for relaxing.
On the morning of one of our tours they provided us with a takeaway breakfast because we were leaving very early, (the hot air balloon ride).
Aziz and his team were also a great source of local knowledge and advice about trips and tours, made calls for us when we had difficulty setting up a tour. Also gave us suggestions for restaurants that catered to traditional Moroccan food and international cuisine as well.
When we left to return back home, Othman helped us weigh our luggage (we purchased a "few" souvenirs). Reda brought our luggage down and out to our waiting driver.
We were very grateful for their help .
We learned a lot about Moroccan culture, religion and language.
We would love to come back!
